FAQ
Can I send frozen milk?
Yes you can!
If your milk is frozen please make sure you defrost it and mail it to us in a sterile milk storage bag.
Squeeze out any air inside the bag, seal it, wrap it in a paper towel and place it inside another milk storage bag. Label the second bag with your order number (not receipt number) and your name.
Your milk does not need to stay cold in transit.
What is the difference between Gold Filled and Solid Gold?
Gold filled jewellery has a thick layer of gold bonded to a base metal, while solid gold jewellery is made entirely of gold. Although solid gold is more valuable, gold filled pieces provide a more affordable option with a thicker layer of gold than gold plated jewellery. While solid gold can be repaired if scratched, gold filled jewellery cannot be repaired without exposing the base metal underneath. Gold filled pieces can last 10-30 years with proper care, but solid gold can last a lifetime, making it the recommended choice for keepsakes with irreplaceable inclusions or heirloom pieces meant to be passed down through generations.
How many inclusions can I add to my stone?
We recommend limiting your additions to 3 inclusions. The more inclusions you add the 'busier' your stone will look. We find that busy designs distract from the natural beauty of each inclusion and the story being told.
How much of my inclusions do I send?
Milk: 2-15mL (1 tbs) of milk inside a sterile milk storage bag with the air squeezed out.
Ashes: 1/2 teaspoon. Any ashes that aren't used for your piece are posted back to you with your completed jewellery.
Hair: A pinch about 5mm thick.
Placenta/Umbilical cord: One capsule or a 5-10mm dried section.
Sand/soil: 1/2 teaspoon. Soil can not be sent overseas.
Flowers: 2-4 Petals from each flower. These must be dried for a minimum of 3 weeks and pest free prior to being sent to us.
